Ronnie Gold

Ronnie Gold is a pastelist and painter, creating her art in an abstract expressionist style. Her passion for color led her initially to pastels with a vast range of colors and making the process of painting spontaneous and fluid. After a successful career designing home decorative fabrics and owning her own company Home Accent Fabrics she turned to painting full time. Not having the constraints of fashion or market dictates she creates her bold, energetic and colorful pieces of art using loose, abstract strokes of color, mark making and gestural lines to build surface and composition. Experimenting in different styles is what keeps her work fresh and exciting.

Ronnie was born in Fairfield, Connecticut and attended the High School of Art & Design in New York City. She received her BFA from the University of Colorado and attended the Tyler School of Art, Rome. A resident of Stamford, Connecticut, Ronnie is a member of several local art associations: the Rowayton Art Center, where she is a board member, Silvermine Artist Guild, Carriage Barn Arts Center and the Westport Artist Collective. She is a Signature Member of the Connecticut Pastel Society and the Massachusetts Pastel Society where she has won many awards. Other pastel affiliations include: The Pastel Society of the West Coast and the Red Rock Nevada Pastel Society. Her work has won awards at the Rowayton Arts Center, the Faber Birren National Color Show and the Bendheim Gallery through the Greenwich Art Society.
